Née en 1985, Gérer et Comprendre est l’une des quatre séries trimestrielles des Annales des Mines. Elle privilégie une approche humaine de l'organisation des entreprises, grâce à des analyses qui ne fondent pas sur les seuls outils de gestion, mais empruntent aussi à la sociologie des moyens de compréhension indispensables aux responsables d'entreprises. Son fonctionnement est celui d’une revue académique à comité de lecture. Elle a été retenue par l'AERES dans son classement des revues en économie et gestion, ainsi que dans celui des revues en sociologie. Depuis 2016, la série annuelle Gérer et Comprendre – English language online edition propose une sélection de plusieurs articles de l’année N-1 choisis par le comité de rédaction pour être traduits en anglais.
