This report from the World Health Organization (WHO) details a technical consultation held on June 5 and 9, 2023, to assess the comparative efficacy of vector control products. The meeting evaluated four products: three insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) – DuraNet Plus©, Yorkool® G3, and PermaNet® Dual – and one indoor residual spray (IRS) product, VECTRONTM T500. The ITNs were found to be non-inferior to existing products in terms of mosquito mortality, while the IRS product showed comparable efficacy to an existing comparator. Recommendations include expanding WHO coverage to include broflanilide insecticide.
