Lockhart and Wiseman's Crop Husbandry Including Grassland, Tenth Edition delivers the latest developments in crop varieties, crop protection products and environmental schemes. This new edition reflects the changing world around us, with sections covering the principles of crop production and chapters on plants, climate, soil management, fertilizers, manures, weeds and diseases that threaten farm crops. Other chapters focus on crop husbandry techniques and the integration of sustainability across the board in crop production. This update also includes an additional focus on the principles of plant breeding, seed production and certification considerations necessary for today's agriculture.

This book provides us a thorough overview of Crop Plant with current advance in research. Divided into two section based on the chapters contents. Chapter 1 provides information about markers and next generation sequencing technology and its use. Chapter 2 is about how we can use Silicon for Drought tolerance. Chapter 3 is to deal with the major problem of rising CO2 and O3 causing environmental pollution. Chapter 4 covers the phenomena of RNAi and its use, application in crop science. Chapter 5 is a review for boron deficiency in soils and how to deal with it for better crops. Chapter 6-10 provide some information regarding recent works going on in crop science.

In livestock management, the production of forage plants is undoubtedly the most efficient way to produce products of animal origin with quality and economic viability. We hope that the readers of the book ""New Perspectives in Forage Crops"" will have a good reading and appreciate the information provided on forage production, since the book draws on the expertise of different specialists of the area, who discuss the following aspects: fertilization, semiarid region production, forage species selection, nitrogen fixation, grasses, legumes, cacti, drought, etc. The authors of the book are of different nationalities and provide important information and diverse perspectives on the subject of forage farming.

Genome Mapping and Molecular Breeding in Plants presents the current status of the elucidation and improvement of plant genomes of economic interest. The focus is on genetic and physical mapping, positioning, cloning, monitoring of desirable genes by molecular breeding and the most recent advances in genomics. The series comprises seven volumes: Cereals and Millets; Oilseeds; Pulses, Sugar and Tuber Crops; Fruits and Nuts; Vegetables; Technical Crops; and Forest Trees. Technical Crops includes plants of great agricultural importance. One chapter is devoted to cotton, the most important fiber crop on which significant progress in molecular genetic research has been made. Reviews on oil palm, coffee, tea, cocoa and rubber describe traditional breeding and preliminary molecular results. Chapters on forage crops, ornamentals, and medicinal and aromatic plants each cover a large number of crops and may serve as road maps for further molecular research.
