Gain a gentle introduction to the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) using the Raspberry Pi as the computing platform. Most of the major AI topics will be explored, including expert systems, machine learning both shallow and deep, fuzzy logic control, and more! AI in action will be demonstrated using the Python language on the Raspberry Pi.  The Prolog language will also be introduced and used to demonstrate fundamental AI concepts.  In addition, the Wolfram language will be used as part of the deep machine learning demonstrations. A series of projects will walk you through how to implement AI concepts with the Raspberry Pi. Minimal expense is needed for the projects as only a few sensors and actuators will be required. Beginners and hobbyists can jump right in to creating AI projects with the Raspberry PI using this book.

La place de l’intelligence artificielle (IA) dans nos sociétés est en débat. L’Union européenne y participe par un Règlement spécifique, proposé par la Commission en avril 2021. Le juriste veut en effet se saisir de l’informatique, mais cela pourrait être une erreur : nous ne pourrons pas réguler l’IA, parce que nous sommes nous-mêmes sous le règne de « machines à gouverner ». Ces machines sont faites de lois, procédures et logiciels, qu’animent logique et formalisme, dont le langage commun est la prescription. Or, il est vain de prétendre leur parler à l’oreille : elles ne comprennent ni ce que nous voulons, ni ce qu’elles commandent. L’ouvrage désigne les machines à gouverner sous toutes leurs formes, et dévoile les moyens dont nous les dotons.

S'interroger sur les relations entre l'intelligence artificielle et la responsabilité civile relève presque de l'évidence. Il est vrai que l'intelligence artificielle conduira parfois à une diminution des risques. Il suffit de songer au robot chirurgien dont la précision des actes est sans égal ou encore au véhicule autonome bien plus fiable qu'un conducteur humain et donc potentiellement moins accidentogène, jusqu'à 80 % prédisent même certaines experts. Mais d'autres fois, elle pourra se révéler source de dommages dans des circonstances inédites, en particulier dans les hypothèses où cette technologie sera dotée de fonctions cognitives, et pourra pour cette raison s'adapter à son environnement, progresser, prendre des initiatives et à cette occasion provoquer des préjudices. Qui dans ce cas devra assumer la charge de la réparation ? L'ouvrage ici présenté entend faire le point sur les différentes interférences existantes entre la responsabilité civile et l'intelligence artificielle. Il est issu d'un séminaire du Groupe européen de recherche en droit de la responsabilité et des assurances (GRERCA) qui s'est tenu en octobre 2021 à l'Université de Lyon 3 et qui a été organisé par l'Équipe de recherche Louis Josserand avec le support de la Chaire-Miroir Lyon-Ottawa. Il propose de manière inédite, à notre connaissance, de comparer l'appréhension par les différents droits européens (allemand, anglais, belge, espagnol, français, Italien, roumain, suisse) des défis liés à l'intelligence artificielle dans le domaine de la responsabilité civile et de l'assurance avec parfois un regard nord-américain venant enrichir la réflexion. Des rapports de synthèse viennent coiffer les rapports nationaux sur les différentes thématiques abordées dans ce livre. Il s'adresse à tous les universitaires et praticiens intéressés et préoccupés par ces questions mais aussi aux « faiseurs » de textes nationaux et internationaux qui pourront y trouver des sources d'inspiration.
