Le musée national de la Renaissance possède une centaine d'objets et vêtements liturgiques allant du XVIe au XIXe siècle, provenant du fonds d'Alexandre du Sommerard, vendu à l'Etat en 1843. Une première partie étudie les formes et usages de ces vêtements et l'art de la chasublerie à la Renaissance. La seconde partie présente chacune des oeuvres sous un angle technique et iconographique
