Whether young people can reconcile the Christian creation belief with scientific theories on the origins of the world and life does not depend solely on their knowledge and cognitive abilities - whether they recognize the biblical creation texts as myths and understand the meaning of creation. Emotional and existential factors are at least as important. What offers reassurance and orientation in the world? What meets the desire for autonomy? What provides purpose and identity? For young people, these are essential questions that shape their attitudes towards creation and evolution. Ob Jugendliche den christlichen Schöpfungsglauben mit dem naturwissenschaftlichen Weltbild vereinbaren können, hängt nicht allein von ihren Kenntnissen und kognitiven Fähigkeiten ab. Mindestens ebenso wichtig sind emotionale und existenzielle Faktoren. Was bietet Sicherheit und Orientierung in der Welt? Was entspricht dem Wunsch nach selbstbestimmtem Denken und Handeln? Was stiftet Sinn und Identität? Für Jugendliche sind dies wesentliche Fragen, die in der Auseinandersetzung mit Schöpfungsglauben und naturwissenschaftlichen Weltentstehungstheorien ihre Einstellungen prägen.

Depuis la mise en œuvre par Mikhaïl Gorbatchev de la perestroïka et des réformes qu'elle impliquait, la Russie a connu des bouleversements de très grande ampleur et a dû appréhender de nouveaux enjeux. Devenue un État indépendant suite à l'effondrement de l'URSS, elle s'est trouvée confrontée à des défis multiples : trouver une nouvelle place sur la scène internationale mais aussi, à l'intérieur de ses frontières, fonder de nouvelles institutions, opérer la transition vers l'économie de marché, repenser l'organisation politique de sa diversité spatiale et identitaire. La société russe, elle, a reçu de plein fouet le choc de ces bouleversements. Tandis que le pays entre dans un nouveau cycle électoral, comment le système institutionnel détermine-t-il le cadre du jeu politique? Quelles valeurs sous-tendent ce système? Peut-on parler d'un régime de parti dominant? Quel bilan peut-on tirer des politiques mises en œuvre par le pouvoir fédéral face aux aspirations régionales et en particulier face à la crise tchétchène? Quels rapports entretiennent le pouvoir politique et la sphère économique dans la Russie d'aujourd'hui? Comment la société civile se situe-t-elle dans le champ politique? Comment perçoit-elle les acteurs qui la gouvernent? Afin de présenter dans leur complexité les processus en cours dans la Russie d'aujourd'hui, ce livre rassemble des travaux d'auteurs issus de disciplines et d'horizons différents qui vivent en Russie ou s'y rendent régulièrement.

ICCEDI is an international seminar that is held every two years organized by the Law and Citizenship Department, Faculty of Social Science Universitas Negeri Malang. The activities aim to discuss the theoretical and practical citizenship education that becomes needed for democracy in Indonesia and other countries with a view to build academic networks by gathering academics from various research institutes and universities. Citizenship education is an urgent need for the nation in order to build a civilized democracy for several reasons. Citizenship education is important for those who are politically illiterate and do not know how to work the democracy of its institutions. Another problem is the increasing political apathy, indicated by the limited involvement of citizens in the political process. These conditions show how citizenship education becomes the means needed by a democratic country like Indonesia. The book addresses a number of important issues, such as law issues, philosophy of moral values, political government, socio-cultural and Pancasila, and civic education. Finally, it offers a conceptual framework for future democracy. This book will be of interest to students, scholars, and practitioners, governance, and other related stakeholders.
