At the centre of the contributions in this volume are questions of the functioning and framework conditions of early modern diplomacy, which are pursued from different perspectives using the example of the Westphalian peace negotiations. The history of the edition of the peace treaties and a determination of the location of the Peace of Westphalia in the development of diplomacy and international traffic in Europe in the early modern period are further focal points.
