Questo volume è dedicato all’approfondimento dei più accreditati interventi strutturati per la riabilitazione cognitiva dei soggetti affetti da schizofrenia, e rappresenta uno strumento di lavoro per tutti i professionisti impegnati nel trattamento, nella riabilitazione e nel recupero delle persone con disturbi psicotici, in particolare di tipo schizofrenico. La presenza di alterazioni cognitive nei disturbi schizofrenici è attualmente oggetto di grande interesse da parte di clinici e ricercatori, sia per la diffusione di tali alterazioni sia per il loro impatto negativo sulla vita sociale, relazionale e lavorativa del paziente; determinante è stato inoltre il recente sviluppo di nuove tecniche e strategie non farmacologiche di intervento, che costituiscono nel loro complesso la cosiddetta riabilitazione cognitiva della schizofrenia. Dopo i primi capitoli dedicati all’analisi aggiornata delle principali alterazioni cognitive presenti nella schizofrenia e del loro impatto sul funzionamento sociale, vengono passati in rassegna gli strumenti di assessment dei deficit cognitivi e psicosociali, utili per disegnare i successivi interventi e monitorarne gli effetti. Alcuni capitoli affrontano poi il background teorico e i principi applicativi alla base del rimedio cognitivo nella schizofrenia e delle principali tecniche finora sviluppate. In particolare ne vengono analizzate tre, fornite di ampie dimostrazioni di efficacia: la Terapia Psicologica Integrata (IPT) secondo Brenner e colleghi, la Terapia di Rimedio Cognitivo (CRT) secondo Wykes e colleghi, e il Cogpack, rimedio cognitivo svolto con l’ausilio del computer. Si affronta infine il problema dell’implementazione pratica delle tecniche descritte nei servizi psichiatrici territoriali e ospedalieri, suggerendone modalità di integrazione con gli interventi terapeutici e riabilitativi abituali.

Elke taaldocent krijgt ermee te maken: die momenten in de les dat de aandacht van de groep inzakt, ondanks alle goede voorbereidingen. Dan is het tijd om de boel even wakker te schudden! Taalprikkels biedt een handige verzameling van 60 prikkelende taalactiviteiten die kunnen worden ingezet om de groep snel op te frissen. De activiteiten duren 5 tot 15 minuten, zijn methodeonafhankelijk. Ze vergen geen of zeer weinig voorbereiding. Elke twee pagina's bevat een activiteit: een omschrijving in één zin, gevolgd door welke voorbereiding je moet doen, een stapsgewijze beschrijving met een illustratie en een of meer tips. Met symbolen wordt aangegeven welke vaardigheid je oefent, vanaf welk ERK-niveau in de doeltaal de activiteit mogelijk is, bij welk groepsgrootte deze past en of hij geschikt is als kennismakingsspel. De lijst voor in het boek maakt het gemakkelijk om een passende activiteit uit te zoeken. Taalactiviteiten en taalspelletjes voor volwassenen waarmee tijdens de (NT2) taalles kan worden gevarieerd.

Beyond the four centuries of sunspot observation and the five decades during which artificial satellites have monitored the Sun – that is to say for 99.99999% of the Sun’s existence – our knowledge of solar history depends largely on analogy with kindred main sequence stars, on the outcome of various kinds of modelling, and on indirect measures of solar activity. They include the analysis of lunar rocks and meteorites for evidence of solar flares and other components of the solar cosmic-ray (SCR) flux, and the measurement of cosmogenic isotopes in wood, stratified ice and marine sediments to evaluate changes in the galactic cosmic-ray (GCR) flux and thus infer changes in the sheltering magnetic fields of the solar wind. In addition, shifts in the global atmospheric circulation which appear to result from cyclic fluctuations in solar irradiance have left their mark in river sediments and in the isotopic composition of cave deposits. In this volume the results these sources have already produced have been summarised, paying special attention to those that reflect processes in different parts of the Sun’s interior and that display periodicities and trends which may enable us to forecast future large-scale environmental changes.
