Under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking guides jurisdictions to implement the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, particularly its Title I, the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA). The Office's services include tracking legal developments related to sex offenders and administering grant programs related to registering and managing sex offenders. Site coverage includes: a legislative history of Federal laws pertaining to sex crimes and sexual offenders, case law updates, tools to implement SORNA, and its newsletter SMART Watch and SMART Watch Dispatch and other publications.
