This book offers the first interdisciplinary survey of community research in the humanities and social sciences to consider such diverse disciplines as philosophy, religious studies, anthropology, sociology, disabilities studies, linguistics, communication studies, and film studies. Bringing together leading international experts, the collection of essays critically maps and explores the state of the art in community research, while also developing future perspectives for a cross-disciplinary rethinking of community. Pursuing such a critical, transdisciplinary approach to community, the book argues, can counteract reductive appropriations of the term 'community' and, instead, pave the way for a novel assessment of the concept's complexity. This toolkit has been developed during the implementation of Urban Green Belts (UGB) project (Interreg, Central Europe) which main objective was to improve planning, management and decision-making capacities of the public sector related to urban green spaces, thus creating integrated sustainable UGS planning and management systems. Special attention was given to functional urban areas (FUA), a functional economic unit characterised by densely inhabited “urban cores” and “hinterlands” whose labour market is highly integrated with the cores. Following a comparative situation analysis, the partners jointly designed innovative methods and tools to facilitate sustainable UGS management. Presented toolkit has been primarily developed as a Model for a Community Involvement. The presented methods and tools for community building were tested in three pilot studies conducted in Maribor (Slovenia), Krakow (Poland), and Budapest (Hungary). Priročnik je bil izdelan med izvajanjem projekta Urbane zelene površine (UGB) v okviru programa Interreg, Srednja Evropa, katerega glavni cilj je bil izboljšati zmogljivosti javnega sektorja na področju načrtovanja, upravljanja in odločanja, povezanega z urbanimi zelenimi površinami (UZP), ter na ta način ustvariti celostne trajnostne sisteme za načrtovanje in upravljanje UZP. Posebna pozornost je bila namenjena funkcionalnim urbanim območjem (FUO), funkcionalnim ekonomskim enotam, za katere so značilna gosto poseljena »urbana jedra« in »zaledja«, v katerih je trg dela močno povezan z jedri. Na podlagi primerjalne analize stanja so projektni partnerji skupaj zasnovali inovativne metode in orodja za spodbujanje trajnostnega upravljanja UZP. Predstavljeni priročnik je bil razvit predvsem kot model za vključevanje skupnosti. Predstavljene metode in orodja za izgradnjo skupnosti so bile preizkušene znotraj treh pilotnih območji, opravljenih v Mariboru (Slovenija), Krakovu (Poljska) in Budimpešti (Madžarska).

Theory U biedt vernieuwende inzichten in veranderingsprocessen. De theorie gaat ervan uit dat de kiemen van antwoorden op vraagstukken al aanwezig zijn, maar nog niet zichtbaar aan de oppervlakte. Organisaties wereldwijd werken inmiddels met Theory U en benutten de gezamenlijke wijsheid van groepen mensen om te komen tot daadwerkelijke vernieuwing. Organisatieontwikkeling met Theory U biedt praktische handvatten die aansluiten op Presence van Peter Senge en andere en Theory U van Otto Scharmer. Organisatieontwikkeling Organisatieontwikkeling met Theory U laat zien hoe Theory U in de praktijk kan worden toegepast. Aan de hand van praktische werkvormen worden de mogelijkheden beschreven om het doorlopen van het U-proces te faciliteren. De cases laten ervaringen zien van onder andere KLM Cargo, Achmea, S2M, Enviu en The Hub Amsterdam bij het werken met Theory U. Het boek is daarmee een mooie tool in de gereedschapskist van organisatiecoaches, consultants en trainers die bezig zijn met organisatieontwikkeling. Het U-model toegepast Organisatieontwikkeling met Theory U bestaat uit twee delen. In het eerste deel worden voor iedere fase in het U-model werkvormen beschreven. Per werkvorm wordt de achtergrond beschreven, een kort kader met een praktijkvoorbeeld, het doel, de beschrijving en het resultaat. Het tweede deel van dit boek bevat casustiek: voorbeelden van organisaties, consultants en coaches die in de praktijk met Theory U werken. De diepte in Theory U heeft als basis de vorm van de letter U. De U geeft een proces weer dat de diepte ingaat.
