Le projet investit l'intérieur d'un bâtiment historique où des éléments divers coexistaient précédemment, comme deux constructions industrielles et un couvent, qui était utilisé comme hôpital. Le nouveau bâtiment devait donc se positionner de façon à relier ces structures entre elles, tout en définissant de nouveaux espaces et en créant une identité comme un tout.
