In dit boek komen Afrikaanse vrouwelijke ondernemers uit Cong-Brazaville, Ghana, Rwanda en Togo an het woord. Dankzij de getuigenissen van deze vrouwen krijgen we antwoorden op onder meer volgende vragen: is het vrouwelijk ondernemerschap in opkomst in Afrika? In welke sectoren zijn de vrouwelijke ondernemers vooral actief? Verschilt de vrouwelijke bedrijfsvoering van de mannelijke? Welke factoren beletten of bevorderen het ondernemerschap van Afrikaanse vrouwen? Op welke manier kunnen aan Afrikaanse vrouwen kredieten worden verleend voor de oprichting en de uitbouw van een bedrijf? Met deze publicatie wil het NCOS bijdragen tot een correctere beeldvorming over Afrika in het algemeen en Afrikaanse vrouwen in het bijzonder, want het loutere feit dat er sowieso iets bestaat als Afrikaanse vrouwelijke ondernemers is nog maar in weinig westerse geesten doorgedrongen.
