Il diritto societario ed il diritto della crisi sembrano muoversi su orizzonti paralleli e manifestano da tempo una criticità di rapporti. Sebbene la crisi d'impresa riguardi normalmente gli enti organizzati in forma di società, il diritto riformato delle crisi sostanzialmente ignora questa dimensione; analogamente, il diritto societario non prevede alcuna particolare disciplina delle compagini che si approssimano o comunque versano in uno stato di crisi. This book presents the proceedings of the conference held in Florence on 7 and 8 May 2009 upon the conclusion of a MUIR study. The inspiration behind it can be summarised in two keywords. The first is "modernity", because it focuses on the sectors of criminal liability of the doctor and the entrepreneur, those that have been most dramatically affected by social change and technological developments, straining to the limit the "classic" configuration of criminal law categories. The second is "case law", in the sense that we have sought to focus on the reality of living law and to investigate the concepts of the causality, blame and complicity of individuals as they are actually illustrated by precedents.

Colpiscono circa 170 mila italiani, con un trend in forte ascesa. Si chiamano Malattia di Crohn e colite ulcerosa: malattie autoimmuni, ovvero causate da un errore del sistema immunitario che si scatena contro se stesso. Perché? In 1840, a French alienist, or psychiatrist, Joseph Guillaume Desmaisons Dupallans, visited a number of Italian asylums with the objective of discovering the best solution for the institute he was planning to set up in the vicinity of Bordeaux. This book comprises an Italian translation of the notes he made on this trip, conserved in a manuscript in the library of the former psychiatric hospital of San Salvi (Florence). Offering an extremely precise and detailed review of the structures visited, the work is a fascinating and important source for the reconstruction of the history of the institutes for the insane in Italy and also for the history of psychiatry itself. Nel 1840, un alienista francese, Joseph Guillaume Desmaisons Dupallans, compì un viaggio nei manicomi d'Italia per individuare quale potesse essere la soluzione migliore, a cui ispirare l'istituto che avrebbe costruito nei pressi di Bordeaux. Il volume pubblica in traduzione italiana gli appunti di tale ricognizione, conservati in un manoscritto presso la biblioteca dell'ex Ospedale psichiatrico di San Salvi (Firenze). Proponendo una rassegna estremamente precisa e dettagliata delle strutture visitate, l'opera rappresenta una fonte importantissima per la ricostruzione della storia degli Istituti per alienati in Italia e uno strumento per la stessa storia della psichiatria.
