Conceived on the occasion of the first edition of "Unimc for Inclusion", an initiative promoted by the University of Macerata, the volume intends to propose, in a single collective work, theoretical coordinates and operational trajectories applicable in plural contexts, including training whether they are educational, aggregated or residential. The paradigm of inclusion is therefore investigated on the basis of its declinations, as well as multiple perspectives of research, through a variety of thematic insights. Implementation challenges, laboratory proposals and design hypotheses that come to life in the text, offering the reader practical ideas for reflection and experimentation with an inclusive character. For these reasons, this book is particularly recommended to pedagogues, teachers and educators, both in training and in service, because in their profession they are constantly called upon to engage in "inclusion tests".

Il gioco del Sudoku è esploso nel mondo occidentale a partire dal 2005 e da allora ha continuato a espandersi, a raccogliere nuovi proseliti, a far proliferare riviste specializzate nelle edicole e siti dedicati su Internet. Il successo del Sudoku non accenna a rallentare. Tutti i grandi quotidiani offrono giornalmente alcuni schemi da risolvere; sono nate associazioni e federazioni; vengono organizzati tornei locali, vari campionati nazionali e persino un campionato mondiale a cadenza annuale; si moltiplicano le proposte di varianti del Sudoku classico; moltissimi docenti universitari hanno avviato tesi di laurea sull’argomento; sono stati scritti svariati prodotti software su PC, su hardware dedicato e sulle principali console di giochi interattivi. Accanto alla moltitudine crescente di dilettanti che con varia frequenza si cimentano nel gioco, di solito lavorando con carta e penna e in solitario, è nata una comunità mondiale di esperti che, attraverso forum dedicati su Internet, cercano di scovare tecniche di soluzione sempre più sofisticate, oppure si accaniscono ad individuare e sviscerare i segreti logico-matematici del gioco, o più semplicemente si propongono di strutturare, organizzare e diffondere la conoscenza in materia. Questo libro si rivolge al primo gruppo di persone, ai dilettanti che vogliono continuare a giocare con carta e penna e che eventualmente vogliono diventare un po’ più esperti, e si propone di dare risposta a due quesiti principali: 1) come riuscire a risolvere in modo divertente qualsiasi schema, per quanto difficile, proposto dalle riviste specializzate, a partire da un numero limitato ma sufficiente di tecniche di base e avanzate; 2) come orientarsi nel variegato mondo degli esperti, dei forum, dei siti dedicati, dei prodotti software, senza perdere tempo inutile e potendo rapidamente trovare risposta a qualsiasi eventuale dubbio.

Raccoglie gli articoli presentati al convegno di Matematica e cultura del marzo 2010. Picasso che dialoga con Luciano Emmer è l’immagine simbolo di Matematica e cultura 2011. Un omaggio al grande artista spagnolo e un ricordo del regista italiano che ha partecipato diverse volte agli incontri veneziani. E quelle immagini indimenticabili di Picasso a torso nudo che affresca una grande parete, e i suoi segni cancellati per un banale errore umano e rimasti solo sulla pellicola. Di arte, di arte contemporanea, di arte antica si parla. Di Venezia, di quel grande capolavoro che è la basilica di San Marco, e dei mosaici dimenticati del suo pavimento. Ne scrivono Ettore Vio che della basilica è il Proto, e Luigi Fregonese che ne ha portato a termine, con altri, il rilievo tridimensionale. Un lavoro di 20 anni! E di teatro, di matematica e cucina, non tralasciando le tante applicazioni della matematica. Con un occhio particolare alla letteratura di Neal Stephenson e al suono delle maree. Non potevano mancare le bolle di sapone e i fantastici progetti architettonici basati su lamine di sapone computerizzate di Tobias Walliser. Né manca la geometria delle gondole e i rapporti tra spazio matematico e teologia. Matematica, Venezia, cultura, un incontro che continua a stupire, anno dopo anno, rinnovandosi sempre. Pur restando in continuità con gli eventi passati. Matematica e cultura 2011.
