Die Beiträge dieses Sammelbandes untersuchen die Möglichkeit, separate Strukturebenen in Texten zu unterscheiden und ihr Zusammenspiel zu beschreiben. Im Mittelpunkt stehen drei Ebenen, die zentrale Aspekte der Struktur von Texten beschreiben: Die Ebene der Textbearbeitung enthält Mittel, die das Verständnis des Textes befördern; die Ebene der Illokutionsstruktur bestimmt den Handlungscharakter eines Textes und sichert seine Akzeptierbarkeit; und schließlich zerlegt die Ebene der Informationsgewichtung einen Text in Informationseinheiten und weist ihnen ein Gewicht zu. The articles in this volume discuss the feasibility of distinguishing separate levels of structure in texts and describing the interplay between them. The focus is on three levels pertaining to crucial aspects of the structure of texts: a) the text processing level and the means it provides for a better understanding of texts; b) the level of the illocutionary structure, which determines the specific action character of a text and ensures its acceptability; c) the level of information sorting, which breaks down a text into information units and classifies these in terms of relative significance.
