Little mouse Lin is arriving on a tall ship from China. He is going to stay with a friend in the old city of Delft, where Titus lives in the attic of a famous atelier of blue and white earthenware. Prinses Mary Tudor has just ordered a very special vase, a masterpiece for her new palace. Just when Lin is performing a chinese tea ceremony for the astonished mice, the atelier tomcat jumps in and the still unfinished vase falls and breaks into a thousand pieces! Can Lin help the Delft master? And impress the little mouse with the pearl earring? He knows everything about chinese porcelain... A mouse fairytale with references to the art of Vermeer, Carel Fabricius and other painters from the Dutch Golden Age, and the palace Het Loo, now renowned for its bautiful gardens.
