NMC, a family-owned company, producing polymer foams decided to concentrate its efforts on innovation. Innovation is the most important driver for competitive success and competitive advantage, but is also linked with a high amount of risk and uncertainty. This master thesis analysis current project management practices in place at NMC and suggests improvements compatible with the newly introduced stage-gate process stimulating new product developments.
