This book is a collection of the ICAME41 conference proceedings covering a range of topics in corpus linguistics. Busse et al. Explore contemporary trends and new directions in the field. Papers focusing on historical linguistics include Bohmann et al's study on the passive alternation in 19th and 20th century American English whilst Iyeiri and Fukunaga investigate negation in 19th century American missionary documents. Bohmann's emphasis is on the Contrastive usage profiling method to represent online discourse data. Empirical studies on discourse analysis include Brooks' analysis of how the UK press portrays obesity, Coats generating ASR transcripts to look at dialect data from YouTube, and Gonzalez-Cruz's pragmatic considerations of Anglicisms entering Canarian-Spanish digital headlines. Aporie dell'integrazione europea: tra universalismo umanitario e sovranismo è frutto di un percorso di studio e di ricerca che ha coinvolto studiosi afferenti all'Università di Évora e al Centro de Investigação em Ciência Política (CICP) in Portogallo e studiosi del DSU della Federico II di Napoli e di altre prestigiose università italiane. En 1986, paraissait l’ouvrage séminal d’Alain Gallay L’archéologie demain. À l’occasion du trentième anniversaire de ce livre, il convient de s’interroger : l’archéologie de demain est-elle devenue celle d’aujourd’hui ? Science en constante évolution depuis ses origines, à l’interface de multiples disciplines avec lesquelles elle partage les outils et les méthodes, l’archéologie contemporaine est une discipline protéiforme. De la fouille au laboratoire, de l’analyse des vestiges à celle des sociétés, les bases méthodologiques sur lesquelles elle repose font désormais appel aussi bien aux sciences humaines qu’aux sciences dites « dures ». La recherche archéologique est aujourd’hui de plus en plus souvent complétée par d’autres approches permettant de produire de nouvelles données, de poser un regard différent sur les données préexistantes ou d’en approfondir l’étude à travers de nouvelles problématiques. Le volume présente les actes de la 11e journée doctorale d’archéologie de l’ED 112. (I) Mobilities in Prehistory. People, resources, objects, sites and territories is the result of the acknowledgement of human mobility as a central subject in archaeological research. It presents itself as a book with a plural and broad range, showcasing several contributions with distinctive theoretical and methodological approaches, multiple empirical case studies and different geographies across a large time span. This holistic and integrated framework is the one that is required to analyse mobility, a complex and multidimensional phenomenon of undeniable importance for the understanding of the dynamics that shaped past communities and their relations, not only between themselves, but also with the territory - dynamics that take shape in artefacts and structures, in built and lived landscapes bestowed to the passage of time. More than a contribution about a subject that explores divergent paths, this book intends, as well, to challenge other investigators to push forward a theme full of potential and relevance in a world that is now, more than ever before, in motion.
