Tim Brown werd in 1923 geboren in het landelijke, religieuze zuiden van de VS. Segregatie was toen de norm. Het enige wat Brown verlangt is gerust gelaten worden op zijn kleine boerderij, tussen zijn dieren en schilderijen, in Jackson, Mississippi. Guus Maris, auteur van deze uitgave, leerde het werk van Brown kennen via internet. Hij had de artiest graag gestrikt voor een interview maar Brown weigerde halstarrig. Deze uitgave maakte deel uit van een tentoonstelling die plaats vond in de Kunsthal in Amsterdam, van 22 januari tot 3 maart 2005.
