Quand un enseignant apprend qu'il aura dans sa classe un enfant qui a le diabète, il peut se poser beaucoup de questions. Ceci nest pas surprenant, car il est assez rare d'avoir un enfant diabétique parmi ses élèves. Quelques petites adaptations permettront à l'enfant diabétique de suivre les cours à peu près normalement. Il pourra même participer aux activités sportives, aux excursions, aux voyages scolaires et autres classes vertes. Ce programme vidéo explique brièvement ce qu'est le diabète.

La présence dans les écoles de réactifs chimiques d'usage courant n'est dangereuse que si élèves ou professeurs négligent de prendre les mesures voulues pour leur stockage, leur manipulation et leur élimination. Or des indications claires concernant la nature des risques et les consignes de sécurité sont apportées par les fournisseurs. On peut toutefois se demander si les élèves qui manipulent ces produits les comprennent. Après enquête, il nous a semblé intéressant de sensibiliser professeurs et formateurs à ces notions.
