C'est une aventure sur le pourtour de la Méditerranée qui prend corps à travers un échange entre deux amis, l'écrivain Nathalie Quintane et le réalisateur Jean-Marc Chapoulie, parcourant tous deux les rives nord et sud de la Méditerranée, immobiles depuis leur écran d'ordinateur. Les images proviennent de webcams disponibles sur internet, installées au bord des plages par les offices de tourisme, les hôteliers, les associations de surfeurs, les stations de météorologie, ou par des particuliers.C'est un voyage sur une mer de paroles, qui frappent les images pour questionner une part des incohérences avec lesquelles nous vivons.
