In the present study, a new phenomenological two-phase interchannel mixing model was proposed for subchannel analysis in bubbly flow regime under PWR pressure level. The key constitutive relation is the modeling of void drift, for which the concept of a two-phase flow approaching an equilibrium state was adopted. Based on systematic CFD simulations, correlations were proposed to describe both the void fraction distribution at equilibrium state and the effective mixing velocity due to void drift.

In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde eine generelle Methode für die Wiedergabe zweiphasiger Strömungen einer gängigen detaillierten CFD auf einem groben Gitter entwickelt. Die für wenige Teilgeometrien und Strömungsparameter mit repräsentativem Charakter entwickelten numerischen Modelle ermöglichen eine geschlossene Beschreibung für die dazugehörigen Großkomponenten und damit eine umfassende dreidimensionale Strömungssimulation in für industrielle Anwendungen vertretbarer Berechnungsdauer. In this work a general method for reproduction of two-phase flow fields calculated by generic detailed CFD-simulations on a coarse grid is developed. Numerical models for only few sections of geometry and sets of flow parameters with respectively representative character allow a complete description of the large component considered. Thus a comprehensive three-dimensional CFD-simulation, meeting industrial needs for low computational costs, is generated.
