Catalog in a limited edition of the spring/summer collection by Dries Van Noten. Beautifully designed with color and varnish overlays, Dries Van Noten pays homage to Len Lye’s influential work. The prints of the collection are based on a frame extracted from Len Lye’s experimental films of the 30’s. Len Lye (1901-1980) was a New Zealand film director, sculptor, author and poet and spent his career pursuing an ‘art of movement’. He wanted to affect people physically and emotionally, so that art became a full body experience. His work stimulated the senses and was unforgettable. In the catalog you experience the symbiosis between the colors and patterns of Dries Van Noten and the world of Len Lye, photographed by the inimitable Viviane Sassen.
