Using Jeffries' Critical Stylistics tools, this study aims at revealing the sexist discourses prevalent in the left- and right-wing media. The research focuses on articles published around the time of Greta Thunberg's speech at the UN, on the 23rd September 2019, as it corresponds to a period during which Thunberg received considerable attention. The dissetrtation will strive to find answers to the following question: 
•What are some of the main representations of Greta Thunberg in the British right-wing and left-wing newspapers? 
•How are these discourses inflected by gender?
•Can sexist instances be found, and how do they intertwine with the representations of Greta Thunberg?
•Do the representations of Greta Thunberg differ between the right-wing and the left-wing newspapers? ER -
