Another approach would be to begin directly with Chapter II of this study, "Experimental Regression Through Frustration," reserving for later reading the theoretical sections of Studies I and II. The present researches are important in demonstrating the generalized character of the phenomenon of regression: frustration leads to primitive behavior even in areas not connected to inaccessible goals. Behavior is modified in a central fashion. This book experiments with children and their frustration and regression. ER -
