This research was organised because of the need of the target group to learn how to manage their anger. In consultation with House of Light, the main topic of this research became: how to work on anger management for teenage boys with behavioural problems in a children’s home in Melsiripura, Sri Lanka. The research is based on several theoretical frameworks such as the conflict cycle, nonviolent communication and effective anger management. The research that was conducted consisted of several workshops and sessions to gradually teach the target group a step-by-step anger management programme. After participating in this programme, the target group was able to remember the five steps of what to do when they are angry. There is a need to continue working on this topic and help the target group to apply the learned strategies in daily life. By the end of the research, the target group could express their feelings, which was a great improvement. It is recommended to develop a research project concerning conflict-solving skills.
