"This text uses a top-down approach to encourage the reader to visualize how all the components of movement fit together and affect each other. This approach allows the student to see the big picture while helping them determine what underlying issues may be causing limitations. The top-down approach maximizes learning vs. memorizing detailed bits of information that later prove difficult to remember and apply in practice. In addition to identifying the underlying components that make movement possible, this text illustrates how kinesiology applies to functional movement and the client.
