The book was conceived as a collection of lectures given to students of Architectural Drawing courses and is intended as an orientation tool among the different fields of the discipline: from the preparatory phase of training to graphics, to the application of the principles of geometric representation, to conventional technical representation of architecture. In addition to the invention drawing, ample space is dedicated to survey drawing, applied first to the depicted architecture and then to the real city. Due to the character of the volume, intended as a learning tool, the texts are presented in the form of working notes with the main purpose of illustrating the pictures.

The third entry in the Jim Blinn's Corner series, this is, like the others, a handy compilation of selected installments of his influential column. But here, for the first time, you get the ""Director's Cut"" of the articles: revised, expanded, and enhanced versions of the originals. What's changed? Improved mathematical notation, more diagrams, new solutions. What remains the same? All the things you've come to rely on: straight answers, irreverent style, and innovative thinking. This is Jim Blinn at his best-now even better. HighlightsFeatures 21 expanded and up

This undergraduate and postgraduate text will familiarise readers with interval arithmetic and related tools to gain reliable and validated results and logically correct decisions for a variety of geometric computations plus the means for alleviating the effects of the errors. It also considers computations on geometric point-sets, which are neither robust nor reliable in processing with standard methods. The authors provide two effective tools for obtaining correct results: (a) interval arithmetic, and (b) ESSA the new powerful algorithm which improves many geometric computations and makes th

Pyramid Algorithms presents a unique approach to understanding, analyzing, and computing the most common polynomial and spline curve and surface schemes used in computer-aided geometric design, employing a dynamic programming method based on recursive pyramids. The recursive pyramid approach offers the distinct advantage of revealing the entire structure of algorithms, as well as relationships between them, at a glance. This book-the only one built around this approach-is certain to change the way you think about CAGD and the way you perform it, and all it requires is a b
