Kniha představuje téma produktivní kultury učení a usazuje je do širšího didaktického kontextu. V první části jsou jakožto teoretický rámec představeny tři hlavní oblasti produktivní kultury učení: 1. jasnost, strukturovanost, soudržnost, 2. kognitivní aktivizace, instrumentalizace a semantizace obsahu, 3. podpůrné učební prostředí. Druhou část knihy tvoří 17 didaktických kazuistik zpracovaných týmy oborových didaktiků a učitelů v praxi. Cílem kazuistik je ilustrovat klíčové oblasti produktivní kultury učení. The book introduces the issue of productive culture of teaching and learning in broader didactical context. In the first part of the book, three areas of productive culture of teaching and learning are as theoretical framework presented: 1. clarity, structure, coherence, 2. cognitive activation, instrumentalization, semantization, 3. Supportive learning environment. The second part of the book presents 17 didactic case studies that have been developed by teams that consisted of researchers and teachers from schools. The aim of didactic case studies is to highlight key areas of productive culture of teaching and learning.

In applied mathematics, the name Monte Carlo is given to the method of solving problems by means of experiments with random numbers. This name, after the casino at Monaco, was first applied around 1944 to the method of solving deterministic problems by reformulating them in terms of a problem with random elements, which could then be solved by large-scale sampling. But, by extension, the term has come to mean any simulation that uses random numbers. Monte Carlo methods have become among the most fundamental techniques of simulation in modern science. This book is an illustration of the use of Monte Carlo methods applied to solve specific problems in mathematics, engineering, physics, statistics, and science in general.

This book provides several applications of the finite element method (FEM) for solving real-world problems. FEM is a widely used technique for numerical simulations in many areas of physics and engineering. It has gained increased popularity over recent years for the solution of complex engineering and science problems. FEM is now a powerful and popular numerical method for solving differential equations, with flexibility in dealing with complex geometric domains and various boundary conditions. While it is clear that around 1800 the humanities as a discipline rose to prominence, it is less clear what the exact nature of this shift in academia was. Was it a sudden revolution caused by a momentary but powerful change in the zeitgeist or the turning point of a much longer process?
